Bengal has a long terracotta tradition — the 18th-century Kantajew Temple in Dinajpur is covered in terracotta panels. Today potters make plaques, figures, pots and tiles inspired by that heritage. Terracotta is fragile, so packing is everything.
Tell me what you want (wall plaque, figure, pot, tile, set) and your budget. I buy from potters and craft shops, send photos, and pack each piece in multiple layers of protection. I'm honest about the risk: clay can still break in transit, so I tell you which pieces travel well.
Terracotta itself is inexpensive in Bangladesh. The costs are weight, size and packing. Flat plaques and small items are the best value to ship. Large pots are heavy and bulky, and the courier cost can be many times the item price — I will tell you honestly if it isn't worth shipping.
How I pack: each piece is wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a box with foam or filling on all sides, and that box goes inside a second box (double-boxing). Even so, clay can crack if a parcel is badly dropped. If something arrives broken, send photos on the day of delivery and I'll help with the courier claim — see my refund policy.
Fired terracotta decor is usually fine to import. Countries with strict biosecurity (like Australia) want items free of soil, so I make sure pieces are clean. New handmade pieces only — I don't buy or export antiquities. Duty rules: customs duty guide and your country: USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia or the Middle East.

Usually yes, if it is packed well. I wrap each piece, pad it on all sides and double-box it. Flat plaques and small items travel best. Clay can still crack if a parcel is dropped hard, so I tell you which pieces travel well.
Take photos on the day it arrives and send them to me. I will help with the courier claim under my refund policy.
The item is cheap but shipping depends on weight and size. Large pots can cost much more to ship than to buy, so I give you the exact courier price first.
Fired, clean decor is usually allowed, but Australia checks for soil. I make sure pieces are clean and declared correctly.
No. I only buy newly made handicrafts, because Bangladesh restricts the export of antiquities.
